Zanjoe Marudo Just Got Nominated For An Emmy Award!

The Kapamilya actor just hit a significant milestone after he was nominated for an International Emmy Award after he starred in the weekly drama anthology series, “Maalaala mo Kaya”.

The International Emmy Awards is the global arm of the Emmy Awards, which honors the best of television programming, as organized by the International Academy of Television Arts & Sciences. It is the television counterpart of the Oscar (for film), the Grammy (for music), and the Tony (for theatre).

Zanjoe is one of the contenders for the “Best Performance by an Actor” award, and is up against actors such as the renowned Kenneth Branagh of the United Kingdom, Julio Andrade from Brazil, and Kad Merad from France.

According to a report by ABS-CBN, Zanjoe got a nod for his role as a single father who raised his children inside a cave, after a storm destroyed their home.

The winners will be announced on November 20 in New York.
