Here’s What Wesley Snipes Has To Say About the BLADE Reboot

A lot of people got really excited when Marvel Studios announced a Blade reboot during their panel at the San Diego Comic-Con. However, a lot of people also felt like this reboot is unfair to Wesley Snipes who played Blade in the original movies since he’s been hoping for another installment.

Blade (1998) was Marvel Comics’ first successful film venture. It set the stage for comic book adaptations and fans believe that the Marvel Cinematic Universe owes its very existence to the film.

However, Snipes has told fans to calm down. In a statement to ComicBook.com, Snipes shared:

“To all the DAYWALKERS losing their minds right now, chillaaxx. Although the news comes as a surprise, it’s ALL GOOD. Such is the ‘business’ of ‘entertainment!’ Much peace to the MCU crew – always a fan. Honor and respect to the grandmaster Stan. Congratulations and Salaam to Mahershala Ali, a beautiful and talented artist whose expressions I look forward to experiencing for many years to come. Inshallah, we will someday work together. Most importantly to my loyal fans, the incredible outpouring of love is overwhelming. I am grateful for the never-ending support. So, ‘nah fret nah worry, it’s not de end of de story.’ Welcome to the Daywalker Klique.”

Basically, people need to relax! We will always have the OG Blade movies to come back to. But we’re also definitely excited to see how Blade and his particular storyline will be incorporated in the grand scheme of the MCU.
