One of our favorite fictional characters is the monster Godzilla, and we’re happy to report that he’s going to have another movie very soon! It’s called Godzilla:Â Planet of the Monsters and it’s an anime that will premiere on Netflix on January 17.

Based on the trailer, the film is set 20,000 years in the Earth’s future and heroes in space suits and fighter jets must fight Godzilla. Apart from the colossal monster, the men must also fight other kaiju thirsty for their blood.
Godzilla first appeared in 1954 in Ishiro Honda’s Japanese film Godzilla. Since then, the creature dubbed as the King of Monsters appeared in a string of films, TV shows, novels, comic books, and video games. In 1998, he appeared in the Hollywood film Godzilla, which spawned the reboot in 2014.
A new film called Godzilla: King of the Monsters will debut in 2019 and Godzilla vs. Kong in 2020.
