When the Department of Education or DepEd implemented the K-12 system during the school year 2012-2013, the whole nation was pessimistic since Philippinesโ Education System wasnโt prepared to acquire such. ย Moreover, parents were appalled since itโs going to add on to their major fixed expenses like the tuition fee. ย Apparently, in its 3rd year of acquisition, the DepEd lacks teachers for the upcoming school year.
According to ABS-CBNโs late night news, Bandila, DepEd is looking to hire more than 30,000 senior high school (Grade 11-12) teachers for the school year 2016-2017. As mentioned in the news, the hiring process has already started to ensure the quality of education is intact.
โMaari po silang magsumite yung kanila pong Letter of Intent and dapat nakapaloob po dun, sinasabi kung ano po yung track or strength.โ (Interested teachers may submit their Letter of Intent that states their track or strength.) ASEC for DepEdย Tonisto Umali
However, according to Zenie Lim, Administrative Secretary of Alliance of Concerned Teachers, since teachers are obliged to teach more years, they must be trained to be more equipped for the K-12 system. For more information, watch the video below:

How about you? Do you think the Philippines is capable of hiring 30,000 teachers?ย Share your thoughts below.
My Mom applied last june I think, but according to DepED she needs to study again as a refresher Note: My Mom is a board passer. There are tons of licensed teachers who wants to teach but they keep on refusing, now they’re saying that they’ll be needing 30,000 teachers? (c’mon that would be impossible) If they really want to have someone who will teach these kids, I guess they better stop aiming for young and fresh graduates give all of them a fair chance.
Just sayin ๐ I’m not against fresh graduates since I’m also one of them.
