Vice Ganda Offers Advice to Those Planning to Start a Family Without Money: “Huwag.”

In a recent “It’s Showtime” episode, Vice Ganda candidly advised couples planning to start a family, but are unfortunately not yet financially prepared. This was during the noontime show’s “EXpecially For You” segment.

Vice, along with co-hosts Vhong Navarro, Jhong Hilario, and Ogie Alcasid, were discussing honesty with the featured ex-couple of the day– especially when it comes to money. They emphasized the value of being “honest” and “true” with your partner if you’re facing budget constraints. Instead of spending beyond their means, the hosts suggested couples have date nights at home to avoid financial strain, and eventually prevent potential arguments in the long run.

“Wala rin namang kinalaman kung sino ‘yung babae at lalaki, nasa kung ano yung dapat nating ginagawa. Babae ka o lalaki ka, ‘pag wala, wala. ‘Wag nating ipilit kung wala,” Vice added, pertaining to gender roles. “At wala namang masama sa pagiging tapat kung wala ka.”

“Pero ibang usapan na rin yung ‘pag gagawa na ng pamilya,” Vice segued. “Kung gagawa ka ng pamilya at wala kang pera, huwag kang gumawa ng pamilya!”

“Sorry, this opinion might offend other people pero iyon talaga,” the It’s Showtime host also said as a disclaimer. Vice remained firm nonetheless and explained, “Kung wala kang pera, huwag kang gumawa ng pamilya dahil kawawa [yung bata], lalung-lalo na kung may iluluwal kang batang hindi mo mapapakain ng maayos.”

“At the end of the day, ikaw ang magsasalba sa sarili mo. Hindi ibang tao, ni hindi ang gobyerno. Ikaw,” Vice stated.
