Vanessa, who won the crown in last month’s Miss World Philippines 2019 pageant, was accused of “misrepresentation of her credentials,” “unprofessional behavior,” and “indecency.” According to a public statement made by National Director Arnold L. Vegafria, Vanessa has skipped official events, walked out on meetings, refused to sign the contract with the organization, and publicly shared photos of her nude and using alcohol and tobacco.

It was also revealed that Vanessa was only 16 years old which doesn’t meet the minimum age requirement for the Miss World pageant.

Although Vanessa has not publicly spoken about the issue, she did repost reactions and statements made by fans and friends on Instagram stories. These included a statement of support made by former beauty pageant contestant Roxanne Acosta and a “Deadma Walk” photo from a fan.
