President Rodrigo Duterte received a call from US President Donald Trump on Sunday night, Philippine time, according to Senator Bong Go.

Senator Bong Go says that the call was about discussing bilateral cooperation to address the COVID-19 situation currently sweeping the globe and how they can respond.

COVID-19 is a virus that has currently taken the lives of over 100,000 people worldwide, now considered a global pandemic. It spreads through infected droplets. Please practice social distancing and proper hygiene, make proper use of masks and face shields, and wash your hands regularly.

The US currently has the highest number of cases in the world with over 700,000 confirmed cases. The Philippines, on the other hand, has over 6,000.
