New career opportunities soar as the biggest student-led career event in Laguna, Career Fair 2026: Cultivating Future-Ready Individuals, begins in the last week of March at the University of the Philippines Los Baños, led by the UPLB Career Assistance Program (UPLB CAP). This initiative connects students and job seekers with top employers across various industries to develop their professional capabilities and transform them into career-ready individuals.

Building people toward successful careers has always been the utmost commitment of UPLB CAP, making the future its foremost consideration. With the fast-evolving presence of AI, workplaces are being forced to evolve and adapt to its use. In response, through the theme “How AI Has Been Evolving in Our Workplace,” this year’s Career Fair aims to help individuals navigate the changing workplace amid AI advancements.
As an introduction to the organization and the Career Fair, a Pre-event Exhibit was held from March 17 to 18, featuring a main exhibit at the front of the College of Human Ecology (CHE) building, along with satellite exhibits scattered across other college buildings. In these exhibits, onlookers and participants won prizes through interactive games and previewed the main Career Fair events, along with UPLB CAP’s partner companies and their respective industries.
In the coming week, Company Talks will take place from March 23 to 24. The first day will be held online via Zoom and Facebook Live, while the second will be conducted onsite at the College of Economics and Management (CEM) Function Hall of the university. Participants will get to interact with industry professionals and partner company representatives as they share insights on how AI is reshaping their industries, transforming work processes, and influencing the skills expected from future professionals.
After engaging with industry experts, participants may personally connect with various companies at the main event, the Company Exhibit, which will take place from March 25 to 26 at Charles Fuller Baker Memorial Hall. Company booths will be open to all interested participants and walk-ins within Laguna, giving them the opportunity to network with their target companies and explore job and internship opportunities.
The Career Fair will culminate in the second week of April with ReCAP, the highlight of the event, offering students roundtable discussions and the opportunity to network with different company partner representatives and learn more about their industries.
The undeniable prevalence of AI continues to transform everyday work, and UPLB CAP intends to face this irreversible shift head-on. Alexandros de la Banda, UPLB CAP Year 6 President, affirms this by encouraging students not to be afraid, as Career Fair 2026 aims to prepare them for the demands of the future. He describes it as “a great opportunity for [students] to grow and immerse [themselves] in life after college.”
