Korean Dramas (K-Dramas) have taken the hearts of Filipinos, really. There is a plethora of K-Dramas on Netflix, which helps many of us get through the boredom while stuck at home due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Now, our love for K-Dramas has penetrated the academic world. The University of the Philippines (UP) is offering an elective called “BC 196: Analysis of K-Drama.”
The elective requires an Internet connection and video conferencing app (Google Meet, Messenger, Viber, or Zoom). You also need a computer or gadget (desktop, laptop, tablet, cellphone) with working video and audio input/output.
You should also have a Netflix subscription or any access to the following K-Drama series such as Crash Landing on You (CLOY), Chicago Typewriter, and Misaeng. You may start watching the three K-Drama series enumerated.
BC-196 is open to all colleges.
There are only 20 slots available for this course. As of posting, the demand for the course is 176.
