TALIMA – isang konseptong nagpapakita ng pakikipagkapwang Pilipino – is a fundraising dance workshop for the benefit of the current members of the UP Filipiniana Dance Group who are in need of support with online learning and training, and for securing of the group’s costumes and property that have been left unattended since the community quarantine was declared. This workshop offers a wide range of dance classes, showcasing the following genres: Philippine Folk and Ethnic Dance, Streetdance, Femme, Hiphop, and four different Jazz dance classes such as Lyrical, Contemporary, Modern, and Musical Theatre Jazz. There will also be a Technique Class, and a special lecture on Dance Research and Documentary Filmmaking in Dance. In support of the group and as a way of paying it forward, these classes will be taught by some of the group’s notable alumni.
