Underoath Finally Brings Their Sonic Fury to Manila

If there is a group that has continually defied the odds through decades while defining the sound and shape of modern rock and its subgenres, it is UNDEROATH—fueling their unique brand of music with sonic brutality balanced by catchy, anthemic melodies that remain musically inventive and constantly evolving.

Fans worldwide have proven to be fiercely loyal—particularly Filipinos.

After decades of waiting, Manila will finally get its moment as the Tampa, Florida-hailing band officially brings their music to local shores on February 12, 2026, performing in the country for the very first time at the Skydome, SM North EDSA.

Currently composed of founder, drummer, and singer Aaron Gillespie, keyboardist Christopher Dudley, guitarist Timothy McTague, bassist Grant Brandell, and lead vocalist Spencer Chamberlain, UNDEROATH has always taken the road less traveled. Starting as a Christian band experimenting with heavier elements such as metalcore, death metal, and black metal, the group found worldwide success by blending soaring melodic choruses with post-hardcore, screamo, and metalcore verses that never held back.

Lyrically, the band connected deeply with an entire generation through releases such as The Changing of Times in 2002, which spawned the hit “When The Sun Sleeps,” and 2004’s They’re Only Chasing After Safety, featuring the massive single “Reinventing Your Exit,” which propelled them to global fame through heavy MTV and radio rotation.

Despite enduring lineup changes, including Gillespie’s temporary departure, and their eventual breakup in 2012, UNDEROATH’s music never faded. Their legacy remained firmly intact among devoted fans, making their August 2015 comeback highly celebrated. Since then, their releases have continued to expand their influence, alongside tours and collaborations with iconic acts such as Alice in Chains, Korn, and Bring Me the Horizon.

For those who know, UNDEROATH is nothing short of invincible.
