Touching Objects In Videos Instead Of Just Watching May Soon Become A Reality

According to reports, Interactive Dynamic Video (IDV) is a new imaging technique developed by the MIT researchers that allows a viewer to reach in and touch objects in the videos. The IDV has many uses, from creating new visual effects, or for architects to determine if their structure is sound.

In order to simulate the objects in the videos, the scientists determined “vibration modes” at different frequencies, representing the different ways an object can move.

Just imagine this potential with entertainment films!
