Now that it’s been confirmed that Toni Gonzaga will be starring in a local adaptation of the well-loved South Korean drama My Sassy Girl, it’s also been revealed who will be starring as her leading man!
Introducing the man who will be telling us the entertaining story of his misadventures with his sassy girl: Pepe Herrera!
TinCan Films shared a series of photos from the scenes with Pepe and Toni together, confirming his involvement in the movie project. “Grateful for your warm response for our Sassy Girl. Today, let us celebrate the guy who will tell her story. We are proud to share with you Pepe Herrera as our leading man for My Sassy Girl,” TinCan Films wrote.

Toni also shared a slideshow of photos taken of her and Pepe on her Instagram account. “My Sassy Girl,” she simply captioned the post with.
Meanwhile, Pepe wrote on his own post: “Visualise natin – Ngayon, Hanggang maipalabas ang #MySassyGirlPH, Marami kaming Mapapaligaya ni Fifth at ni Tin. Sa ngalan ng Pag-ibig. Kasi nga, I believe. Hehe. Maraming salamat mga Ma’am, Sir, and Dear Friends. Coming soon po.”

Pepe plays the part of a young engineering student (named Gyeon-woo in the Korean drama) who meets “the girl” at a train station and ends up having to take care of her when she passed out drunk. He subsequently gets involved in all her day-to-day activities where he time and time again gets humiliated by her in different situations.
According to Toni, My Sassy Girl has been her dream project since 2006 and already considers the project as one of her “greatest career achievements.”
It has yet to be announced when and where the movie will premiere.
