You can tell the time by using your smartphone or asking someone but there’s something elegant about using a wristwatch. It says that the wearer cares about the way he or she looks and took the time (lol) to wear an accessory that a smartphone can do. There are tons of brands to choose from to suit any style or budget, and the Philippines is rich in pieces that are both beautiful and well-made.
Our latest discovery is Beau, a line of refined watches for men who have a taste for the finer things in life. Surprisingly, the prices are a steal. Just how reasonable are they? The most expensive option is just P2,499.
Beau is developed by Klinton Saribong, a collector who rotates his watches depending on his clothing or his mood. He started the brand because he believes everyone should have a watch and more importantly, it doesn’t have to be pricey.
The name Beau is French for “beautiful” or “handsome” and this European flair also extends to the watches (including their names). The Bordeaux comes with a black genuine leather strap and a beautiful silver dial with slim, graceful hands. The face has three subdials but the subdued palette makes the watch still look minimalist. Meanwhile, the Paris has a more rugged appeal with a stainless steel strap and the same refined dial. The watches are inspired by the cities they are named after: Bordeaux is known for their wines and the watch pairs well with wine nights, while Paris conjures images of the Eiffel Tower.
The watches evoke French sophistication and class at a price within reach. Paris is available for P1,999 while Bordeaux can be purchased for P2,499. Both come with a Noir version with a black dial.
As an added treat for WheninManila.com readers, Beau is offering an exclusive 40% discount when you type “WIM40” upon checkout on the website!
