I always had skin problems. I was diagnosed with urticaria and I always had really bad allergies. Mosquitos also seem to love me as I end up with mosquito bites all over my legs. I have tried many ointments and creams but nothing seems to work. Luckily, I found this ‘healing gel’ and it has been my go-to whenever I have flare-ups.
Sage & Grace started in 2020 and was founded by Ethel Bernales who practices energy healing as a Theta Healing practitioner.
“I have always believed in the body’s ability to self-heal and have practiced alternative healing and natural therapies for myself and family.  I also have a very early fascination with herbal remedies even as a young teenager.  In 2019, I became a certified Theta Healing Practitioner and created the brand as a platform to share my own experiences, healing journey, and knowledge thru workshops, one on one sessions, and coaching”, she shared.
Sage & Grace’s healing gel that had helped my flare-ups are made of aloe vera that is grown organically from Australia and processed locally. The essential oils that are used for the gel are sourced from France and Germany. According to Ethel, she uses the brands that she personally uses and loves to make sure that the materials are good.
“I have used the same formulation based on my own research for the past 3 years to heal my family’s skin issues.  My daughter and I are very sensitive and would get random rashes and hives all the time.  I called it our all-around booboo gel.  We use it for rashes, hives, insect bites, wounds, and burns.  It always heals our skin immediately”, Ethel shares.
The healing gel has worked wonders for me and my daughter who is 2 years old. Since seeing a post online about it, I also saw positive reviews by other parents which made me try it. “The Sage and Grace Skin Soothe Gel Salve was a serendipitous surprise.  It wasn’t really meant to be the beginning of a product line.  I got into aromatherapy 4 years ago and started learning more about each essential oil that I would add to my personal collection.  That collection grew and I started dedicating my time researching and studying more about it”, says Ethel.
Sage & Grace gained a loyal following over the years and thank you to a neighbor who encouraged her. “Last May 2021, she randomly shared to me that she got terrible rashes from her nape down to her legs that she got from a caterpillar. Â Without thinking much about it, I told her that I have something that might help. Â So I made a small batch for her and gave her the gel salve right after. Â Two days later, she messaged me that the rashes are almost healed and that she felt immediate relief from the itchiness as soon as she applied it compared to the cream she was prescribed with. Â She shared the story in our community thread and neighbors started asking me to sell to them” shared Ethel.
Ethel’s practice for personal healing had led to a product that helps others heal too. Sage and Grace aim to provide alternative and natural therapies for people and to create more awareness and allow people to rediscover that nature truly is a source for healing.
