When life gives you lemons, make lemonade. However, when life gives you oranges, be very careful not to accidentally tip over your truck and spill them on the highway.
A driver in China was in an accident when the truck he was driving tipped over and spilled all the oranges loaded in his truck. The incident happened on a road in Yichun, Jiangxi province, news portal Kankannews.com reported.
What was even more unfortunate with his cargo scattered by the road is that a group of people began looting the oranges that spilled from his truck. The driver and his nephew tried to stop the looters but they seemed to fight back. With nothing he and his nephew can do, the driver just sat on the side of the road and cried.
Apparently, he and his nephew, were transporting the oranges from Hunan province. They tried to stop the looters but it seemed the pair were threatened and beaten up, as seen in the video below that circulated online.
The looters only backed down when the police arrived at the scene.
It took the whole afternoon for the police, the driver, and his nephew to clear up the area.
The driver was crying as he told reporters about what happened. Apparently, this was his first long distance trip delivering fruit and he only borrowed money to buy the truck.
Reports added that the oranges were valued at 10,000 yuan (~P71,618.30).
If you were the driver, what would you have done?
