Game over, guys. This little girl is officially cooler than many of us millennials!
Remember when as little kids, we wanted to be a mermaid? Six-year-old Lyra Thomaston took it a step further and –got– mermaid hair!
The vibrant dye job is actually unicorn-inspired, and she even got a cool undercut to go with it!
Lyra’s mom is hairstylist Mary Thornton — which explains how she was able to pull off the edgy look so well. Mary used Manic Panic — a non-toxic and non-permanent dye — to color her daughter’s hair, and the result is just fabulous.
So Lyra is sporting this look, just in time for first grade! Mary said that she checked with Lyra’s school first if they allowed colored hair, and had a serious talk with her daughter on what it means to have such a dramatic hair change.
