After opening new stations more than a week ago and extending its trips down south, the Philippine National Railways (PNR) is bringing in more awesome news. Apparently, it will be deploying six new train coaches from PT Inka of Indonesia.
The newly-acquired train coaches will become part of 37 rail cars and three locomotives that it has obtained from the same company.
On December 11, PNR representatives, officials from the local government and the Department of Transportation, and representatives from the Embassy of Indonesia attended an arrival ceremony.
The new train coaches will travel along the PNR’s FTI-Tutuban and FTI-Malabon routes. They are expected to handle 18 to 20 trips per day.
