The Story So Far finally came to Manila for their long-awaited show at the Skydome, SM City North Edsa! Loyal fans flocked to the Skydome to see their favorite band perform, many having traveled far just for that night.
Elder Brother, old friends of the members of The Story So Far, joined the tour as special guests.
This Bay Area act, on the other hand, opened the show with their mellow yet soulful sound.
As soon as The Story So Far came out for their set, fans went wild and the mood transformed instantly. The band, composed ofย Parker Cannon (vocals), Kevin Geyer (guitar), Will Levy (guitar), Kelen Capener (bass), and Ryan Torf (drums), performed some of their old beloved tracks including “Nerve,” “Roam,” and “The Glass,” as well as songs from their latest album, Proper Dose.
As a former scene kid and avid listener of punk back in high school, I used to attend rock concerts all the time. Imagine a petite, five foot tall, 15-year-old girl in the middle of a mosh pit. Yeah, I sustained a lot of concert-related injuries back in the day.
Now that I’m no longer in that scene, seeing people headbanging, crowd surfing, moshing, and just having the absolute time of their lives brought back a lot of memories. There’s a certain thrill that comes with getting kicked in the face by crowd surfers.
I was also happy to witness people living in the moment instead of a sea of phones recording every single second, which has become the norm lately at concerts.
Nearing the end of the show, lead singer Parker Cannon expressed his gratitude to fans for supporting them throughout all these years.
I know you’ve been waiting for a while. Thank you for being so patient. We finally made it. I’m just so happy to be alive.
