Our hearts are melting as prominent Thai actors, Newyear Kitiwhut and Both Nuttapong, officially announced their engagement after 11 years of being together!
The two surprised fans around the globe as they broke the news on Instagram last September 13, 2023, with a carousel of sweet photos during their trip to London, the last of which was a picture of their hands wearing engagement rings. “From the very first day, say yes 13.9,” said Newyear in the caption of his post.
Both, meanwhile, shared a picture of themselves looking lovingly at each other as he said “I’m yours. No refunds !!! Happy Anniversary my [heart emoji].”

Many of their fans not just in Thailand but worldwide rushed to the comments section to send their well-wishes and congratulate the two on their engagement.
Their paths first crossed in 2012 when Newyear left a comment on Both’s Instagram post. They were later paired together in the popular Thai drama “Top Secret Together.” Soon after the drama ended, they began dating. They also run a YouTube channel together called BothNewyear Official which currently has over 542,000 subscribers.
As of writing, Thailand is fighting for the legalization of same-sex marriage with the Marriage Equality Bill which is currently at the second-reading stage in Parliament.
