May it be for serenading a special person or for a relaxing jamming session on the beach with the barkada, the ukulele will always be an instrument that people can easily fall in love with. Mostly known for its Hawaiian-influence, a ukulele is a pineapple-shaped instrument consisting of usually 4 nylon strings. What I, and most people, enjoy about it is the relaxing melody and vibe it produces enough to soothe the soul.
Best part about it is that almost everyone can play it. As long as you have fingers and a good quality instrument, you’re good to go. If you’re just starting to learn, though, don’t be afraid to use cheap, low-quality ukuleles because that’s where I started out. I bought mine in a small kiosk in the mall. A light-weight, blue ukulele made from plywood and yes it wasn’t in perfect, not even good, playing condition with weak strings, low string resonance, and physically damaged parts, but still useable.
I did learn the basic chord patterns and even jammed to a few songs. However, since sound quality is limited, I will have to buy a good quality ukulele if I want to play better or pursue being a professional. So I recommend that you better invest from the beginning if it’s your passion that’s calling. #HugotLines

Started in 2012, Ukulele Philippines claims to be the first store to offer only ukuleles and other ukulele-related items such as strings, pamphlets, and accessories. From classic wooden ukuleles to bright colorful ones for the kids, you name it, they have it.
Ukulele prices range from P2,200 to P27,000 depending on the brand and material used. Most of their products are made from mahogany, but they also offer special ukuleles made from other types of wood that still produce a quality sound and give it more durability.
