After it’s long been speculated that Meghan Markle may be leaving the legal drama “Suits” to focus on her relationship with Prince Harry, it seems that this development may be coming earlier than expected.
According to Deadline, Meghan Markle and Patrick J. Adams, who play onscreen lovers Rachel and Mike, are reportedly leaving the show after Season 7.
Although the option of having them return as guest or recurring characters still remains a huge possibility, their departure still going to affect the remainder of the series in a huge way.
The show is due to return to the small screen later this year for the second half of the seventh season. When asked about the contracts of the cast members, Suits showrunner Aaron Korsh said:
“They all have things going on in their lives, we’ll see what happens. This is true on all long-running shows, and people have things happening in their lives. I’m going to let what happens happens and hope it all works out.”
This means Suits fans may have to see Harvey, Donna, and Louis pretty much carry the show from this point.
