Closing this year’s roster of damn good Karpos Live nights are two of Asia’s rising acts — Phum Viphurit + IV of Spades.
Everyone’s favorite Lover Boy, Phum Viphurit, is coming back to Manila — this time, to grace the Karpos Live stage for its 10th and final mix of the year. The Thai neo-soul artist is best known for his mellow melodies and sweet lyrics he playfully describes as “sunshine music”, based on a range of emotions he feels when writing a song. However you describe his music, his set at Karpos Live will surely have you feeling a Sweet Hurricane of emotions.
Wanderland alum, IV of Spades, first captured the hearts of the local crowd with their 2018 hit single, “Mundo”. After releasing their first full-length album ClapClapClap!, touring locally and internationally, and receiving nominations from both local and international music award-giving bodies, the Sweet Shadow trio is set to take on the Karpos Live stage this November with their signature 80’s inspired disco and alternative-rock sound.
Wishing time would last longer for this year’s Karpos Live series, authentic musicality and Filipino fans’ love for live music are expected to prevail through this last Mix of 2019.
