SugarSmashGin: Back to the ’90s in One Night

Smash Mouth entered the stage with such presence. The seats were also slowly being occupied so things started to get pumped as well. When I saw frontman Steve Harwell, I immediately thought about how he resembled Hank from Breaking Bad. (Or maybe I still have this hang-ups from the late series, haha.)

They owned the stage for one whole hour. People went crazy when they sang “Can’t Get Enough of You Baby,” “Walkin’ on the Sun,” and other great Smash Mouth hits but everyone wanted more. They started cheering for an encore: “All Star! All Star!” Bijan and I were also chanting with them, but we were shouting “Oscar!” and “Boldstar!” instead. Haha.

We didn’t wait that much because Smash Mouth went back on stage and gave us what we asked for—and a whole lot more! They played “I’m a Believer,” and ended their part of the show with “All Star.”

Smash Mouth also mentioned that they’re going to be back in the Philippines come 2014. So to all those who missed their performance last night, there goes your next chance so don’t miss it!
