Subic Grand Seas: The Ideal Budget Getaway at Subic Bay

  

Subic Grand Seas has two types of rooms: the Double Deluxe and the Twin Deluxe. As mentioned earlier, we had two of the latter for our overnight stay. Both rooms are currently priced at P2,500 on Sundays-Thursdays and P2,999 on Fridays and Saturdays (subject to 5% service charge).

 

The room has all of the basics you’ll need when out-of-town: comfy beds, individually-controlled air-conditioning, ample lighting, cable LCD TV, bathroom with shower, and of course, WiFi ! (The WiFi connection is more often stable than not haha)

 

Availing a room comes with a complimentary breakfast for two, use of swimming pools and beachfront, and  a complimentary in-room massage for one! Though, you may get another succeeding hour of massage for your companion, but this time, it will only be at 50% off or P300.  Jed and Raffy availed their massage at night, which will be briefly highlighted in awhile 🙂 Furthermore, the other features of the room were the mini bar/fridge, safety deposit box, secure card locking system, a closet with hangers, and a complete bathroom setup (including the string where you can hang your wet clothes filled with sand, a water heater, and a bidet!). For extra persons, additional mattresses and pillows may be requested via their front desk.

 

 

Besides the room amenities, Subic Grand Seas also offers other resort services, including in-room dining, daily housekeeping, laundry, pressing, dry-cleaning, and transportation services from and to the airport.

..briefly played a game of jackstones later on in our other room haha!

 

Then it was time for some fun water activities! We were supposed to try their newly available hydrojet, but unfortunately, there was a mechanical problem with the machine. Nonetheless, we still had fun with the jetski. The four of us split into pairs, with each pair enjoy 15-minute rides for a total of 30 minutes. This costs P1,750 per ride or P3,500 per ride per hour.

They also have a beach volleyball court for more sand sports action. We spent around an hour trying to make a good long rally, but still failed…

 

A fisherman selling shells and corals stopped over at Subic Grand Seas during the sunset to everyone’s delight. I bought a large Spongebob conch shell-like from him for only P80!

 

To better experience what Subic has to offer, we had a one-of-a-kind dinner at Subic Grand Seas’ sister company, Sam’s Pizza, which is just 15 minutes away and located at Magsaysay Drive, Olongapo City. After the great Sam’s Pizza experience, we went back at 10pm, so Raffy and Jed could get their complimentary massage. We tried to create the “spa room vibe” inside the Twin Deluxe by leaving the TV with a non-working channel (for the blue light effect) on along with long tantalizing spa music that we downloaded. Haha!
