To those who have never heard of her, Marie Kondo (also known as Konmari) is a Japanese organizing consultant who has written multiple best-selling books on organizing and tidying up. She popularized the “Konmari Method” of decluttering and subsequently garnered worldwide acclaim for her first-ever Netflix series “The Life-Changing Magic of Tidying Up.”
Now, she’s ready to help each of us transform our lives once more with her brand-new show “Sparking Joy with Marie Kondo!”
“Sparking Joy with Marie Kondo” follows Marie meeting new clients and sharing her philosophy of letting go of possessions that don’t “spark joy” anymore. But instead of tackling homes and living spaces, she’ll be teaching us how to spark joy in our businesses, relationships, and communities. So whether you’re a boss of your own company in need of changing its culture and structure, or you’re going through a tough breakup, or you’re just a fan of Marie’s decluttering tips, you’re certainly going to learn a lot from this series!
One thing to look forward to as well is getting to actually take a peek inside Marie’s own home, meet her family, and discovering how she herself sparks joy into her life.
“When I reflect on how much has changed for me in the last few years, I always feel especially moved by the way so many of you welcomed the KonMari philosophy into your homes after seeing my first show,” Marie wrote on an Instagram post announcing her new series. “I know the KonMari community has been eagerly awaiting my return to [Netflix]. I’m overjoyed to say it’s almost here — and this time, we’re going beyond tidying at home!”
