Solenn Heussaff opened up about her struggle of breastfeeding her firstborn, Thylane. In a blog post and a YouTube video posted by the actress, she talked in detail about the journey of breastfeeding her child.
In her blog post, she said that after giving birth to Thylane via C-section, she knew she was going to have difficulty breastfeeding her daughter. “Breastfeeding is fulfilling, but it is also so painful,” the actress said.
She also shared how she had a bad supply of breastmilk at the start, but she eventually fought for it. Solenn even opened up about how she switched to mix feeding with the help of her friends’ breastmilk. She wrote, “But like I said, it was an upward climb for me, but I really wanted to be able to say that I did all I could.”
With this, the actress shared three things that helped her in her breastfeeding journey. These are taking malunggay pills, using a hospital-grade pump, and adding breastfeeding tea and turmeric to her diet.
