The collection of the P20 toll fee in the new road linking the Metro Manila Skyway and NAIA Expressway will be suspended for one month, according to local reports.
Motorists can temporarily ply the Skyway section connecting to the NAIA Expressway (NAIAX) for free, according to SMC Infrastructure.
The statement said that this was in efforts to “fully integrate toll collection between Skyway and NAIAX, provide for seamless travel, and lessen stops of motorists.”
SMC Infrastructure said that they were pursuing programs “to improve service and lessen congestion” on the Skyway, South Luzon Expressway (SLEX), and NAIAX.
“Currently, SMC Infrastructure is expanding critical toll plazas to accommodate more vehicles at any given time and lessen queuing time.”
At present, SMC said that the average daily traffic volume for NAIAX is 70,000 vehicles.
