Sindikato de Cacao & ChocoATBP: The Chocolate Duo that Reinvented the Philippine Cacao’s Limitless Possibilities

ChocoATBP: More than just Chocolates!

His wife, Dianne Tan-Andin, initiated the making of ChocoATBP. From the suffix, ATBP (read: at iba pa meaning etcetera), they realized that tableas  can be used in creative ways.

Since Diane is really fond of baking, she tried to incorporate tableas in her fudges and cakes. To make it more exceptional, she also tried to mix in some mouth-tickling flavors, like mint, rum, orange and chili–which suits the taste of both a spicy food lover and those with a sweet tooth. They definitely assure that all of their baked products are made of the best quality – without any extenders or additives.

Fudge Bars: Original flavor and Orange is Php60 per piece while Mint, Sili, Rum is Php50. The original has a sugar-free version and that is Php70 per bar. Ms Diane Tan-Andin uses coconut sugar or Coco Natura which is a natural sugar substitute for people who sugar-conscious or to diabetics.

There are other things that expanded this ATBP component. Their stall also sells equipment that is used to make batirol.

Though not chocolate related, Andin also added some original home recipes to his business, such as his friend’s ‘Titilan’. Originally from Pampanga, this thick fish egg dip can be best served with crackers and add a richer flavor to any rice meal. It really is savory since the great seafood taste explodes in your mouth every time you take a bite of it with some crackers.

When ChocoATPB was added to their niche, Andin and his wife realized that the products from local cocoa is almost limitless. They are hopeful that someday, they will discover more awesome creations from this nature’s gift.

Sindikato de Cacao & ChocoATBP Support our Local Farmers

Andin and his wife, Diane, see Sindikato de Cacao & ChocoATBP as a blessing not only for themselves, but for the small community of farmers who continue to nurture and harvest Filipino cacao. “The quality of cacao they provide is very consistent… It has never changed since the day I started partnering with them. They are very professional people”, he testified.

Andin also encourages everyone to support what our farmers grow on every aspect.
