The COVID-19 pandemic has impeded much of society’s normal functioning. For over a year now, Filipinos have had to endure being locked down under a variety of community quarantine implementations, causing unemployment, hunger, and other injustices to further rise. Vaccination is the solution to put an end to this year-long tragedy, and the Philippines cannot achieve that if vaccine hesitancy prevails.
Thus, AIESEC in UP Manila and Little Hands: Isko with UNICEF co-organized a 2-hour Vaccine Masterclass called “Vacc Ka Takot?” with the aim of instilling vaccine awareness through a discussion of how vaccines are made, how it works, and how it will contribute to herd immunity, alleviating the fear, skepticism, and hesitations of Filipino people about getting vaccinated, and empowering individuals to act upon the information presented to them and take part in promoting health and addressing vaccine hesitancy among their respective communities.
Vacc Ka Takot sessions 1 and 2 would be happening on July 10 and July 11, respectively, from 4:00-6:00 PM through zoom, and will be live streamed through Facebook.
