The “Samboy Lim” bill has been passed into a law. This is according to Rain or Shine coach and former Pampanga congressman Yeng Guiao. According to a post on ABS-CBN News, Guiao said that the bill he proposed has already been passed into a law.
Apparently, this law is about Basic Life Support Training in Schools Act, which will provide basic life support training schools, both private and public.
Guiao called the bill he authored as “Samboy Lim” bill in honor of the Philippine basketball legend. Lim collapsed last November during a PBA Legends exhibition game.
With this bill passing into a law, the younger generation will have the basic knowledge on how to react during emergencies. Hopefully, this will help them save lives.
