‘Sailor Moon Eternal’ movie will come out in 2020

Pretty Guardians Sailor Moon Eternal, a new animated movie coming from the hit anime series, is set for release in 2020.

The two-part movie serves as the fourth season of the “Sailor Moon Crystal” animated series, covering the “Dead Moon” plot arc.

Kazuko Tadano, the character designer for the original “Sailor Moon” animated TV series, will take back her role for the latest project.

It will be directed by Chiaki Kon, who also handled the third season of the Sailor Moon Crystal series covering the “Death Busters” arc.

The original manga creator, Naoko Takeuchi, will serve as the supervisor for the movie.

To celebrate the announcement, a teaser visual based on character designs by Tadano and a special clip has been unveiled.

Sailor Moon is also marking its 25th anniversary with a series of projects, including its first digital books released on July 1.
