Rita Daniela is nominated for best actress at the 11th International Film Festival Manhattan in New York for her performance in the movie, “In the Name of the Mother.” The 2020 film is about a widow who struggles to keep her family united and business running after her husband passed away. In an interview on “24 Oras,” Rita remembered how director Joel Lamangan congratulated her in advance for doing such a great job in the film. The GMA actress got emotional upon learning about this recognition and says that she is very thankful for his guidance.
Diana Zubiri and Gardo Versoza are among the cast, as well as Snooky Serna who is also nominated in the same category. Meanwhile, Lamangan is nominated for best director.
