Are you ready to sing along to these timeless Filipino hits? Legendary Filipino icon Rico Blanco’s songs will be taking center stage in the much-awaited musical “Liwanag sa Dilim,” which will take place in March 2025.

With “Liwanag sa Dilim,” 9 Works Theatrical aims to celebrate Rico’s decades-long artistry and significant contribution to the OPM music scene.
This marks 9 Works Theatrical’s first production for next year. The local theater production has previously staged several award-winning musicals in the country, including “Grease,” “La Cage aux Folles,” “Once On This Island,” “Rent,” and “Tick, Tick… Boom!”

Rico Blanco, highly regarded as one of the most popular local music icons in the country, jumpstarted his career as one of the founding members of the rock band Rivermaya, where he performed from 1994 until 2007.
As a solo artist, the 51-year-old singer has numerous successful and timeless OPM tracks that are loved by music lovers and listeners of all ages. His hits include “Antukin,” “Your Universe,” “Wag Mong Aminin” and more.
In November, he celebrated a career milestone when he achieved 2 million streams in the 2024 version of Rivermaya’s classic single “Kisapmata.”

“Liwanag sa Dilim” will be staged at the Carlos P. Romulo Auditorium, RCBC Plaza, Makati City.
