Fans of Wizards of Waverly Place will definitely recognize Jennifer Stone, who played Harper Finkle, Alex Russo’s best friend. She may not be a wizard in the show but she’s a hero in real life, as she is one of the many nurses serving as frontliners fighting the coronavirus or COVID-19.
On Instagram, she said, “A very good friend of mine pointed out to me that today is #worldhealthday. It is also the day I went from a volunteer, then a student nurse, and now an RN resident. I just hope to live up to all of the amazing healthcare providers on the front lines now as I get ready to join them.”

After Wizards of Waverly Place wrapped, Jennifer went on to study psychology. In 2013, she was diagnosed with latent autoimmune diabetes in adults (LADA), which encouraged her to switch to nursing so she can better understand her condition. When she graduated, she said, “It’s been a long road of blood (mostly other people’s), sweat, and tears (those were mine) but I can finally call myself a nursing grad!”
Despite her busy career as a nurse, she still has time to hang with her Wizards friends. Just last month, she reunited with David Henrie, Maria Canals Barrera, David DeLuise, and Bailee Madison.
