It looks like James Younghusband is retiring from football.

In an Instagram post, the athlete said, “Time to say goodbye. Thank you for the amazing memories. I have loved playing this game.”

He went on to thank the people he’s worked with, saying, “Thank you to my family, bosses, managers, coaches, teammates, opponents, and all my supporters who have been part of my professional career.”

Younghusband ended his post with “I feel lucky to have experienced wonderful memories and thankful for every moment of my time with my clubs and country.”

James and his brother Phil both played for the Philippines national team from 2005 to 2020. They represented the country in several competitions, including the Southeast Asian Games, AFF Championship, and AFC Asian Cup. Phil retired in November 2019.
