Among this year’s skillful competitors of the virtual event, the team that stood above all, conquering the loudest and biggest AdClash is none other than ALAM1D from BAPR 4-1D.

The 30th Grand AdClash “Reaching Paradise: Journey to Smoke-Free Tourism”, was dedicated to creating an Integrated Marketing Communication (IMC) campaign for smoke-free tourist destinations. Together with the entire PUP-DAPR, Action on Smoking and Health (ASH), Vital Strategies, and other supports, the catalyst for creating a smoke-free tourist destination was ignited. With the help of Manila Bulletin, Digital Filipina, and WheninManila as media partners, in addition, the help of S1Nagtala, K1Dlat, uniDOS, S1Dlak, PUP Advertising and Public Relations Organization of Students, DZMC – Young Communicators’ Guild, and Bulacan State University Advertising Guild as event ambassadors, as well as REALME, Nextile PH, Yummy2Tummy PH, CAT PR, GoodAh!!!, Tanglaw Clothing, and Hiraya Journal as the 30th Grand AdClash’s official brand partners, achieving the event’s goal burned brighter.

THE GRAND HIGHLIGHTS – Led by Aldrin Aaron Tamang and John Cedrick Regenio as hosts, the 30th Grand AdClash’s ambiance was on a high level of enthusiasm and hope for brilliant campaign journeys. This can be clearly seen as Mr. Carlos P. Garcia from Vital Strategies shared his sentiments towards what he expects of the competition. He said that,

“We hope that in the campaigns, what we aim for will be communicated clearly. And at the same time, promoting smoke-free tourist destinations as tobacco use in the Philippines is getting more alarming.”

With an outstanding number of 4.9k peak views, 374 shares and 25.4k engagements on the event’s Facebook livestream, the impact that the 30th Grand AdClash made was on a league of its own. Numerous people, eager to witness the grandness among the brilliant minds of PUP DAPR 4th year students creating remarkable smoke-free tourism campaigns.

THE GRAND ADCLASH – Among the brilliant minds of PUP DAPR 4th year students in creating powerful campaigns, team ALAM1D, 2DLA, SWERTRES, S1NDAK, and 2RNILYO are those who answered the call in challenging the 30th Grand AdClash. And the ones each team must impress were Dr. Dominic Maddumba, MD, from the Department of Health, Mr. Jace Ubalde from ASH Philippines, Ms. Irish May Lorenzo, EMBA from Manila Bulletin, Ms. Aileen Lucero from Ecowaste Coalition, and Dr. Paulo Benito S. Tugbang, MD, MBA, MPB, from the Department of Tourism.

Creating strategies, visual arts, copywriting, etc., each team exhibited their skills in creating an Integrated Marketing Communication (IMC) campaign. But among such great campaigns created by the five competitors, only 3 teams have won. 2RNILYO being the 2nd Runner-up, SWERTRES as 1st-Runner up, and the one and only, ALAM1D claiming the grandest feat of conquering the 30th Grand AdClash as the Grand Champion.

ALAM1D conquered the competition with the grandest finesse one possibly could do, not just by being the grand champion, but also by dominating every category of the special awards. Their IMC plan and creative executions were spot on with the smoke-free tourism goal of the event, and it truly captured the heart of both the judges and audiences. While the fact remains that each team is great in its own right, ALAM1D’s campaign showed the most potential and feasibility among them all.

As the 30th Grand AdClash reached its conclusion, the hope for a smoke-free tourist destination will be converted into progressive actions. With the Integrated Marketing Communication (IMC) campaign created through this year’s 30th Grand AdClash, together with Action on Smoking and Health (ASH) Philippines and Vital Strategies, achieving such objectives becomes feasible.
