Over 83,000 pass September 2019 Licensure Exam for Teachers

The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) announced this December 21 that a total of 83,152 test-takers passed the September 2019 Licensure Exam for Teachers (LET).

On its website, the PRC broke down the total number of those who passed the examination by category. They shared that of the 83,152 total passers, 8,973 of them were elementary teachers while 54,179 were secondary teachers. The passing rate for elementary teachers was 31.34% (8,973 out of 92,440 examinees) while for secondary teachers it was 39.68% (54,179 out of 136,523 examinees).

There was a 3-way tie for the top rank of the elementary level. Kezia Keren Ambag (Philippine Normal University-Mindanao), Joshua Sebigan Canseco (Mindanao State University-Gen. Santos City) and Anjo Jurado Literatus (Saint Mary’s College-Tagum) all achieved a rating of 92.60%.

For the secondary level,  Marlou Pugoy Camano of University of Southern Mindanao-Kidapawan topped the exam with a rating of 93.40%.
