An art body painting performance by Cesar CaballeroCesar Caballero is a culmination of a variety of disciplines. A native of Madrid, Caballero immersed in and surrounded himself with creative energy, feeding off of every opportunity that came his way: drawing, engraving, graphic design, mural-making, photography, stage and interior design, art restoration—even comics, advertising, fashion,theater , opera ,cinema and international TV production.
His work has led him to be shown not only in his native turf, Madrid, but also in Sevilla, Valencia, Barcelona, and France. Now, Caballero creates on Philippine shores. He brings his multifaceted background in the arts to the canvas, where bold colors lend a sense of urgency, and where texture and his distinct uncontainable style point to an urban sensibility, an exploration of the contemporary.
Caballero has studied in prestigious artistic institutions, the first being Escuela de Arte La Palma, in Madrid, before moving on to the Fine Arts School of San Fernando, Circulo de Bellas Artes, T.A.I., and Insitute Luis Buñuel. Whether in these academic contexts or in social gatherings, Caballero has persevered to learn from, as well as create with, fellow artistic talents, among them Manuel Vuevas, Coldo Martin, Vicky Chu, Mikel Barcelo, Nacho Criado, Juan Muñoz, Antonio De La Peña and Adolfo Montes.
He lived for 3 years in Ibiza in the last 80’s where he enjoyed painting famous models from around the world, and created amazing Art performances in live.
Caballero was the man behind several projects for the Embassy of Spain, the Ayala Museum, UPI, and AECID. He has participated in several group exhibitions with local and other Spanish artists in the Philippines and he presented many successful solo shows during his 9 years stay in Manila.
