Philippine Airlines and Cebu Pacific Suspends All Domestic and International Flights

As of March 17, Philippine Airlines (PAL) and Cebu Pacific have confirmed that they will be suspending all domestic and international flights in compliance with the implementation of the enhanced community quarantine over Luzon to control the spread of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19).

PAL will suspend all its domestic flights starting March 17 until April 12 and resume operations on April 13. Meanwhile, international flights will continue operations until March 19. Further details about the suspension of its international flights from March 20 onwards will be announced soon.

One-time free rebookings will also be accommodated for all International and Domestic tickets purchased on or before March 31, 2020, which must be requested at least 7 days before your scheduled flight. For more details, go here.

PAL has also appealed to everyone to delay requests for rebooking of flights until after April 12 as they deal with the high volume of transactions and queries through their hotline.

Meanwhile, Cebu Pacific will suspend all Cebu Pacific and CebGo flights from March 19 until April 14. Their last day of operations will be on March 18 wherein they will operate the following flights:

  • Manila-Bangkok-Manila 
  • Manila-Tokyo (Narita)-Manila 
  • Manila-Osaka-Manila 
  • Manila-Nagoya-Manila 
  • Manila-Ho Chi Minh-Manila 
  • Manila-Singapore-Manila 
  • Manila-Taipei-Manila 
  • Manila-Bali (Denpasar)-Manila 

You may check your Cebu Pacific flight status here. Passengers may choose to avail of the following services: rebooking (with waived fare difference and change fee), placement in the travel fund, or full refund. Note that these options are only available to passengers whose flights from March 15 to April 14 were affected by the suspension. For those whose flights are from April 15 to April 30 and want to cancel them, rebooking will be allowed but with a waived change fee only. Placement in the travel fund will also be accommodated, but no full refund will be issued.
