UP ASTERISK (Asosasyon ng Kabataang Artista, Kritiko, at Iskolar ng Sining at Kultura) is a duly recognized student organization based at the College of Arts and Letters of the University of the Philippines in Diliman. Now on its 10th year of existence, UP ASTERISK is one of the youngest yet one of the most accomplished academic organizations in the university dedicated to bringing art to a broader audience through art appreciation and practice. The organization promotes the Filipino culture through art production and art criticism.
The members of UP ASTERISK will be holding our 10th Anniversary cultural night, entitled “Ok Lang Ako: Isang April Fools’ KultNight” on 01 April 2016 from 8PM to 2AM at Selda-Dos: 389 Visayas Ave., Quezon City. We would like to invite you to our main event of the year, that will delve into the relevant issues in Philippine culture and society, and include performances by Lone Sharks, Hayme, Fuseboxx, Fire Underwater, BLKD, Anygma, Plagpul, Kartel +Lion and the Scouts, and more.
This night will truly embody the Filipino spirit and culture that uniquely promotes social awareness and reacts to relevant issues through humor and the arts, hence this kultnight’s April Fools’ theme.
