Nope, Tom Felton is not a Slytherin

Tom Felton, the actor who played Draco Malfoy in the Harry Potter series isn’t a Slytherin in real life. Even though his character was sorted into the Slytherin house in the movies, the actor revealed that he was sorted into Hufflepuff.

He didn’t seem that excited about the results, though. The actor posted this shocking result on Instagram, saying, “A sad day….on so many levels.” This was after Tom Felton used the official Hogwarts Sorting Hat from the Wizarding World Website (formerly known as Pottermore).

Evanna Lynch, who played Luna Lovegood in the movies, also noticed that the actor used the name “Draco Malfoy” to sign up for the website. She commented on the post saying, “Ok but it is so sweet that you put Draco Malfoy as your passport name!”

This isn’t the first time Tom Felton tried the Sorting Hat on the website either. Back in 2015, the actor revealed in a tweet that he was sorted into Gryffindor.
