It looks like things are heating up between Chie Filomeno and Dawn Chang, members of the girl group GirlTrends.
The girl group has recently become the subject of criticism after videos of prior performances with botched choreography have gone viral, which included their infamous rendition of Sam Smith’s “How Do You Sleep?” on It’s Showtime back in August.
The same month, Chang left the girl group, saying, “I’ve been dancing for 17 years now and being a performer is a huge, huge responsibility. I am supposed to share my talent and entertain. I am supposed to give an enjoyable and memorable experience to the audience. And I feel that I am not able to able to fulfill those duties and responsibilities as a performer when I am with GT.”
Now, Filomeno is speaking her mind. According to an article from ABS-CBN, she doesn’t want to fix the issue she has with Chang. She said, “I wanna be honest. No, just no! Wala na e kasi grabe na ang lamat na nilagay. So I’d rather not to be plastic about it.” [“I wanna be honest. No, just no! I don’t want to fix it after what happened. So I’d rather not to be plastic about it.”]
She added that she has not spoken to Chang since the latter left. “Hindi kami nag-uusap at all after niya umalis ng GirlTrends. Wala siyang kinausap na aalis siya, or wala siyang pasabi na aalis siya. Nagulat na lang kami na nasa vlog na niya.” [“We haven’t talked after she left GirlTrends. She didn’t tell anyone she was leaving. We were all surprised when she announced it on her vlog.”]
This statement comes after Chang made snide comments on It’s Showtime, which many believe was about her former group.
