Eleven years ago, Mikka Marcaida embarked on a journey, driven by an undeniable passion for beauty and a desire to empower others through the art of makeup. Her path led her from the vibrant streets of Manila to the bustling avenues of New York City, where she now practices as a makeup artist, leaving an indelible mark on both her clients and the industry.

With over a decade of experience, Mikka has honed her craft which also led her to create a successful lash business called Faboulash. This brand is well-loved by beauty girlies and make-up pros.

Mikka thrives on forging genuine connections with her clients, becoming their confidante and glam fairy godmother rolled into one. Some of her clients whom she met as teenagers are now bridal make-up clients. “Being my clients’ therapist and go-to glam girl in one”, Mikka shares when asked about what she loves most about being a make-up artist,

Before moving to New York, Mikka shared that she prepared physically, mentally, emotionally, and more importantly financially. “I had to work my ass off before coming here because starting again is no joke”, she shared.

Today, Mikka’s career in New York involves lots of work with Filipino creatives and celebrities and sometimes flies out to LA for some clients as well. But her vision extends beyond the current canvas. “I have a roadmap of goals for my future here,” she hints, revealing exciting aspirations for the future.
