These 6 New P-pop Girl Groups Are on Our Radars This Year—Here’s Why

This year has been a total blast for Filipino idol groups so far. As Pinoy pop (P-pop) evolves into a diverse artistic platform of global acclaim, the genre’s chart-topping icons have opened multiple doors for a new wave of P-pop artists, allowing them to establish themselves as performers.

For these up-and-coming P-pop girl groups, there’s no better time than now to forge their paths in the local music scene. Though it’s only the beginning for them, they’ve already ushered in a dynamic roundup of songs that fans are putting on repeat.

Whether it’s an upbeat dance track written with a glitter gel pen or a punchy, heavy-hitting anthem, these new P-pop girl groups are making their grand entrances into the industry, and they’re not going anywhere. With charisma and star power packed into every performance, it’s just a matter of time before these six names will be on every Filipino’s radar around the world.

VVINK

This year, the five members of VVINK have cemented themselves as one of P-pop’s most promising girl groups. On July 10, 2025, they debuted with “Tulala,” a vibrant dance track that captures the magical, slow-motion meet-cute moment of admiring your crush from afar.

Before “Tulala,” VVINK already caught P-pop fans’ attention through a ten-track pre-debut album that they released last May. With long-time OPM label FlipMusic Productions at the helm, the girls shone in solos and unit songs that’ve helped build VVINK’s signature sound. The group’s one-of-a-kind discography drew fans in, and sure enough, their debut was well worth the wait.

PIX!E

Need a serotonin boost? PIX!E has plenty! This six-member girl group bursts with bubbly energy, enough for every fan and audience member to join in. Their debut single, “Iced Coffee,” is a three-minute sugar rush that gets you hooked on its catchy lyrics and colorful vocals. It’s sweet, cheerful, and full of major kilig vibes from start to finish, fitting the members’ personalities like a glove.

PIX!E’s P-pop journey began on The Girl Group Project, an online docu-series on the group’s trainee days, pre-debut evaluations, and final member selections. Mita, Pearl, Kath, Hana, Nicole, and Jane honed their skills under the mentorship of actress and singer Krissha Viaje, who also starred in the “Iced Coffee” music video.

RAYA

RAYA has been on a roll since January this year, and they’ve confidently proven that no one can steal their sparkle. Also known as “the nine gems of P-pop,” RAYA made a lasting impression on their fans from the get-go with their all-out stage presence and chronically online humor. They first entered the music scene with covers of OPM hits, “Bongga Ka Day by Hotdog and “Kilometro by Sarah Geronimo. In April, they dazzled up the dance floor with their debut single, “BLING!.

This August, RAYA’s signature “girl boss” energy is getting a brand new look with their comeback song, “Diva Diba.” Even without a music video (yet), the girls’ sheer confidence already radiates through every lyric.

FINIX

The P-pop idol life isn’t a walk in the park, but FINIX and their fans, EMBERs, are in it for the long haul. These “Filipina baddies” are going global, and their unapologetic discography just booked them first-class tickets to P-pop stardom. The more hooked you get on these seven total performers on the rise, the more you can confirm that they were made to dominate the stage.

FINIX kickstarted their pre-debut era on June 5, 2025, with “Thirsty,” a fiery dance-heavy single that packs a punch in every verse. “Thirsty” leads the groups five-track EP of the same name, which they released a month later. The EP showcases the girls versatility in tackling various genres, including synth pop, rap, hip-hop, and ballads.

Fans can anticipate 27 (you read that right) songs from FINIX in the following months, leading up to their debut year. They’ve always had faith in their long-term plans. Now, they have the platforms to make them happen.

SUGAR N’ SPICE

Life sure is sweeter with a special someone who never fails to inspire you and make your day. When you can’t put your growing feelings towards them into words, Sugar N’ Spice is here to help you! Their debut single, “Sugar Sugar,” is an irresistible love confession fit for every sweet tooth and sucker for cheesy relationship dynamics.

Sugar Sugaris also the catchy theme song of Seducing Drake Palma, Viva One’s series adaptation of the hit teen romance novel by Ariesa Domingo.

FINA

When you bring six passionate performers with a shared love for OPM together, you get FINA, a P-pop girl group that radiates elegance and femininity everywhere they go. As they gear up for their much-awaited debut, theyve been flaunting their skills and contagious energy through covers, interviews, and mall show performances.

The members of FINA are making their fangirl dreams come true one step at a time. Besides gushing over their favorite K-pop and P-pop artists, theyre well on their way to achieving the same caliber of success and recognition as their role models in music.
