It looks like the Metro Rail Transit Line 3 (MRT-3) is on a roll as the train line that traverses EDSA will get new industrial fans in its stations and refurbished escalators. This comes after the government’s announcement that the MRT will get 48 new trains which will be released gradually.
The Department of Transportation and Communication (DOTC) announced that the P2.10 million contract was awarded to Innovalite Electrical Enterprise, which will supply new industrial fans for greater air flow and ventilation at stations. The fans will be installed 90 days after the issuance of the Notice to Proceed (NTP).
Twelve Schindler-brand escalators will also be refurbished within the month, with most units already open for public use.
