Great news to all Disney fans out there! “Moana 2” is coming to the big screen this November!
On February 8, Disney made the surprise announcement of the much-awaited sequel to the Oscar-nominated film, which will premiere on November 27, 2024.

The Walt Disney Company Chief Executive Officer Bob Iger also shared the exciting news, “Moana remains an incredibly popular franchise, and we can’t wait to give you more of Moana and Maui when ‘Moana 2’ comes to theaters this November.”
According to the film’s description, “Moana 2” takes audiences on an expansive new voyage with Moana, Maui, and a brand-new crew of unlikely seafarers.
It added, “After receiving an unexpected call from her wayfinding ancestors, Moana must journey to the far seas of Oceania and into dangerous, long-lost waters for an adventure unlike anything she’s ever faced.”
The film is directed by Dave Derrick Jr. with music by Abigail Barlow, Emily Bear, Opetaia Foa’i, and Mark Mancina.

The first film, “Moana,” was released in 2016, which follows the adventures of a teenager who sails out on a mission to save her people and her island.
