Awesome win for the Philippines!
Nelda Ibe, the country’s representative to the Miss Globe 2017 pageant, finished as first runner-up in the competition held on November 3 in Tirana, Albania.
Miss Globe 2016 Dimple Patel from India passed on the crown to Miss Vietnam Khanh Ngan.
Philippines and Vietnam were the only ones left standing, holding hands for the announcement of the winner. As soon as the host declared Miss Vietnam as the winner, Miss Philippines was immediately proclaimed as first runner-up.

Nelda, who is currently a cadet pilot, also holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in English Literature from Tarlac State University.
