The official poster for Marvin Agustin and Jolina Magdangal’s comeback film Ex Ex Lovers has been unveiled!

Project 8 Projects has released the poster for the romantic-comedy film. The official poster, which garnered positive comments from online users, is reminiscent of colorful, maximalist-inspired notebooks featuring popular celebrities and personalities from the ’90s.

Antoinette Jadaone, the writer behind the film, wrote a witty caption on Instagram to express her excitement about the movie.
“ANG LALA MAKA-THROWBACK NG EX EX LOVERS POSTER kasi kapag nagka-cover ka na ng Advance notbuk (The Ex Ex Lovers poster is such a major throwback because if you have this kind of notebook), YOU’VE MADE IT!!!!” she captioned her post.
She added: “All the feels you get from the teaser to trailer to poster, ganyang-ganyan sa buong pelikula. Umibig at ngumiti ngayong Vday yes (that’s exactly what you’ll get throughout the entire film. Fall in love and smile this Valentine’s Day, yes)?”
This upcoming movie marks Marvin and Jolina’s reunion on the big screen since I.T.A.L.Y (I Trust And Love You) in 2008.
In a heartfelt Instagram post, the 46-year-old actor-entrepreneur revealed that it was their dream of getting another opportunity to star in a film.

“Ilang taon namin pinangarap ni labtim ang gumawa ulit ng pelikula. Yung 90s na romcom na nakakakilig na nakakaiyak na nakakatawa. Na pangedad namin ngayon (For years, my love team partner and I dreamed of making another film—the kind of ’90s rom-com that’s romantic, tearjerking, and funny. One that suits our age now),” he wrote.
He added: “In 2 weeks, mapapanood nyo ang pinaghirapan naming lahat, sana hindi lang kayo mag enjoy kundi may matutunan kayo sa journey ni Joy at Ced (In two weeks, you’ll get to watch the project we all worked hard on. We hope that you not only enjoy it but also learn something from Joy and Ced’s journey),”
He also thanked everyone who worked hard in making the film come to life, as well as fans who have always been supportive of their journey.
“Salamat sa lahat ng tao na naging part ng MARJO. Ang mga fans namin na lagi kaming sinasamahan sa mga mall shows namin. Ang sarap nyo magmahal. (Thank you to everyone who was part of MARJO—our fans who always join us at our mall shows. Your love is overwhelming).”
“Sobra sobra ang kasiyahan ng puso namin tuwing nakakatapos kami ng promo sa isang araw. Ramdam namin ang saya at excitement ng mga tao na nami-meet namin sa mall shows, cinema tours, interviews and guestings (Our hearts are overflowing with joy every time we successfully complete a promo in a day. We can feel the happiness and excitement of the people we meet at mall shows, cinema tours, interviews, and guest appearances),” she wrote.
Directed by JP Habac, the film is set to showcase the iconic love team’s natural on-screen chemistry. The movie will also star Juan Karlos Labajo and Loisa Andalio.
Marvin Agustin and Jolina Magdangal are one of the most sought-after love teams from the ’90s. They starred in classic flicks such as Hey Babe! and Flames: The Movie, as well as romance series Gimik and I Luv NY.
Ex Ex Lovers will premiere in cinemas nationwide on February 12, 2025.
