Marvel Announces Two New ”Avengers” Movies

Marvel Studios just unveiled two new “Avengers” films at the San Diego Comic-Con!

During the comic book convention, president Kevin Feige reportedly revealed the entire slate of Marvel Cinematic Universe: Phase 5, and teased Phase 6. The upcoming chapter will be kicked off by a Fantastic Four movie on November 8, 2024. Then, it will be wrapped up with two back-to-back “Avengers” movies.

“Avengers: The Kang Dynasty” will arrive May 2, 2025, followed by “Avengers: Secret Wars” just a few months later, on Nov. 7, 2025.

Kang is the time-traveling villain who will be reportedly played by Jonathan Majors in the upcoming “Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania”. A version of him was previously unveiled in the first season of “Loki”. Meanwhile, “Secret Wars” is likely a reference to the 2015 series by Jonathan Hickman and Esad Ribic. The comic books dealt with the multiverse, which was referenced in “Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.”

However, Feige reportedly confirmed in an interview that the Russo Brothers, the directors of Avengers: Infinity War and Endgame, will not return for the upcoming films.
